Kareena Kapoor to Endorse Limca For RS 2.5 crore

Coca Cola Approached Bollywood Actress Kareena Kapoor to endorse its Chatpatta Lime-Lemon drink Limca for about Rs 2.5 crore a year.And contract is singed for two years.

 Coca-Cola, which dropped Akshay Kumar for Thums Up earlier this year for Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, now has two top-notch celebrity endorsers - cricketer Sachin Tendulkar for brand Coke, and Kareena kapoor for Limca.

Rival PepsiCo's list of celebrity endorsers includes actors Ranbir Kapoor for Pepsi, Saif Ali Khan for Lay's chips and Asin for Mirinda. Apart from roping in stars from Bollywood, the advetisers are increasigly roping in South Indian stars for pan-India advertisement.

Bollywood Actress Kareena Kapoor is busy making special appearances in films nowadays, it seems. Besides the item song in Dabangg 2, Bebo will also be seen making a guest appearance in the Akshay Kumar starrer Rowdy Rathore. 

The actress recently shot for her portions in the film, directed by Prabhu Deva. However, Kareena did not charge any fee for her cameo. Rather, she says she did the cameo for the film’s producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali and co-producer Shabinaa Khan. 


Kareena Kapoor has been on friendly terms with Shabinaa Khan for years. The two first became friends when Shabinaa Khan, as a designer, used to design clothes for Shahid Kapoor. Even though Kareena broke up with Shahid she kept her friendship with Shabinaa intact. And doing a cameo for free for Shabinaa only goes to show Kareena’s love for her.

Kareena now has 16 brands in her kitty including the latest one, easily making her the most sought-after face in the ad space amongst the actresses. 2011 was the year of big money for Kareena, thanks to her back-to-back hits.

” Ever since she signed onto to Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine, the actress’s fat pay cheques have been grabbing headlines. She was apparently paid almost Rs 8 crore for the film, the highest for any actress in the Indian film space ever.

 Clearly that has reflected on her choice of brands and the money she is charging for them as well. Adds the source, “Though Bebo has a lot of film commitments, she makes sure she gives enough time to her brands and hence charges as much.

” Kareena was also spotted shooting for her very first commercial with the brand a few days ago at Brabourne studio in Mumbai. Adds the source, “Both Katrina and Asin who endorse soft drinks have had ads that have gained a lot of popularity.
