Saif Will marry Kareena Kapoor

Saif Ali Khan may have seen many ups and downs in his love-life, but its now that he's all prepared to marry Kareena Kapoor. And like an obliged lover, Saif has left the decision, to tie the knot, to his ladylove saying his commitment to Kareena is beyond marriage.

In a recent interview with Mumbai Mirror, Saif said that he'll marry Bebo whenever she is happy and comfortable doing that since the decision would affect her the most.

Talking about his relationship with Kareena and their decision to take the final plunge, Saif said, “It is always difficult to discuss marriage in an interview. This is something that she has to decide and whenever she is happy and comfortable, we will marry.

“It doesn’t really make a difference to my career. I am as committed as I am, married to Kareena or not. It has to be the lady’s call and she would be the most affected.”

The love birds, who have been dating from past three years, had recently revealed in 'Koffee With Karan' that they might take marital vows in 2012.

Vishal chooses SRK over Saif?

Sometime back, mutiple tabloids had reported that 'Anjaana Anjaani' director Siddharth Anand was planning to make a film based on Chetan Bhagat's novel '2 States' with Saif, but then Vishal Bhardwaj and Sajid Nadiadwala took the subject with SRK. So what does he feel about that?

Saif explained, “Siddarth and Sajid Nadiadwala were not able to meet each others terms. Sajid has the rights of the book (by Chetan Bhagat) and he is making the film with who he thinks is the best available cast and director.”

About working with Vishal, Saif said, “There is no point in talking about films that did not work out. As far as Vishal Bhardwaj’s film Dream Sequence is concerned, a few modalities are yet to be worked out."

Right now, the actor is focusing on his next with Imtiaz Ali and Homi Adjania, 'Race 2', and 'Agent Vinod'.

“I am doing Prakash Jha’s Aarakshan, Homi’s untitled next, Agent Vinod and Race 2. There is politics, likes, dislikes, conditions met and not met," he said.

After Chameli and Dev, Kareena Kapoor is all set to don the de-glam avatar again.

As both these films have been close to Kareena's heart - for the unique roles, the awards and the critical acclaim they got - she now has agreed to be the plain Jane in Sudhir Mishra's next, Dhruv . The film also stars Farhan Akhtar and Mishra's favourite, Chitrangada Singh.

Sudhir reveals: "It is a love story set against a political background. It is about a man and a woman and their journey amid a political scenario full of turmoils. It is about how their love for each other and for their respective parties bind and separate them."

As Kareena is busy, the shoot cannot start before September, 2011. Hope she isn't feeling competition from Priyanka Chopra whose Saat Khoon Maaf holds promise of many an award.

Kareena Kapoor Patches up with Priyanka Chopra

Mumbai: Bollywood divas Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor who was in news recently for their verbal spat have now turned friends.

The verbal spat between the two began with their commenting each other on Karan’s celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan.

When Kareena had asked from where did Priyanka get her accent from, and to which Priyanka replied that she borrowed her accent from where Saif got his.

But much to everyone’s surprise the two divas were seen hugging each other this weekend at a police award function.

The two were seen shaking their legs on stage accompanied by Shah Rukh and Saif.

Saif Kareena off to Switzerland

Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan is reportedly going to take his beloved Kareena Kapoor off to Switzerland for a New Year bonanza as this is the place that Kareena loves the most as had been revealed by the two at a recent popular chat show.

Now with the two flying off into the snow capped mountains of the paradise on earth Switzerland many were speculating that this New Year would certainly see them back with a happy smile fixed on their faces as Saif just might pop the ultimate question to Kareena and propose to her. As such speculations were still on fresh reports doing the rounds suggest that it is going to be a great family affair out there in Switzerland for both the stars.

Reports are that Saif’s parents Tiger Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore are also scheduled to be heading in for Switzerland to welcome the New Year. Joining them along are Kareena’s mom Babita and her sis Karisma Kapoor with her two kids Samaira and Kian who are also scheduled to join in the party. Thus the Pataudis and the Kapoors are going to ring in the New Year together, making it quite an awesome party of sorts.

Well with Saif and Kareena busy telling the world that they are going to tie the knot only in 2012, will destiny play a great role and get them into marital bliss sooner? Wait n watch!

Kareena kapoor as Bajirao Mastani

There were recent reports that Sanjay Leena Bhansali has signed Kareena Kapoor for his next film, BAJIRAO MASTANI. However, the reports are far from being true.

A close hand to Sanjay Leela Bhansali reveals, "Sanjay Leela Bhansali hasn't signed Kareena. He is still on the scripting stage. He has still not thought about the cast."

It can be recalled that Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted to cast Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for BAJIRAO MASTANI but had to shelve the project in 2003 after their break-up. Let's wait and watch who does Bhansali cast this time around.

Kareena Kapoor Praises Imran Khan

Kareena Kapoor finds him handsome too. The young Khan here is no other than the endearing Imran Khan.

If Imran can’t stop raving about Bebo, who also happens to be his co-star in Karan Johar’s next Short Term Shaadi, Kareena too is generous with her compliments for this Khan, though she is smitten with only one Khan (Saif Ali Khan).

The actress is quoted as saying, “He (Imran) looks good and he’s handsome. I think he is the next generation super-star.”

Kareena and Imran haven’t started shooting for their film, but going by their compliments, we can imagine how they are going to light up the big screen.

Kareena kapoor Personal Life

Kareena was born to Sindhi-speaking Babita (nee Shivdasani) and Punjabi-speaking Randhir Kapoor on September 21, 1977 in Bombay, India. She has an elder sister, Karisma.

She is born in a family that have been actors for generations, including her paternal great-grandfather, Prithviraj Kapoor; her grandfather, Raj Kapoor; her paternal uncles, Shammi, Shashi, Rishi, and Rajiv; as well as aunt, Neetu Singh, & Jennifer Kendall, the wives of Rishi and Shashi respectively. On her maternal side, her grandfather, Hari Shivdasani, and aunt, Sadhana, have been actors in their own rights.

As a child she studied in Jamnabai Narsee School in Juhu, Bombay, and thereafter was enrolled in Dehra Dun's prestigious Welham Girls' Boarding School. Then she re-located to Harvard for approximately 3 months to take a course in Information Technology and Microcomputers. Upon her return to India, she joined the Government Law College in Churchgate, Bombay, but left it after one year, to enroll in the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting School.

Her dad, Randhir is very protective towards his daughters and wanted both of them to keep away from acting, get married, and settle down, as per the Kapoor family tradition. This led to irreconcilable differences between her parents, ultimately leading to a divorce, with both sisters leaving their dad to live with their mom.

Her film debut was in the year 2000 with 'Refugee' along with the debut of Amitabh Bachchan's son, Abhishek. She went on to appear in 31 other Hindi movies, and has thus far won four awards for her performances in 'Refugee', 'Chameli', 'Dev', and 'Omkara'.

She is one of the most sought-after actresses in Bollywood, considered bankable, with an enviable A-listing and as of June 2007 is to appear in 'Tashan', 'Lajjo', 'Kismat Talkies' amongst others.
